If you’re anywhere in South Florida and you’ve been watching the Glock releases, you already know 2025 into 2026 has been a significant moment for the brand. Dixie Pawn in Hollywood just got a batch of the newest Glocks on the market — and we’re talking four models worth paying attention to.

Here’s the full breakdown.

The Gen 6 Duty Pistols: Glock 17 & Glock 19

Glock announced the sixth-generation lineup in late 2025, and the upgrades are real. The Gen 6 platform brings a refined trigger system (triggerspring01 / connector 5 / firing pin spring 24N), deeper slide serrations, and enhanced grip ergonomics — including palm swells, extended thumb rests, and an enlarged beavertail. Both models are fully ambidextrous with a reversible magazine catch, and both are MOS-ready for optics out of the box.

Glock 17 Gen 6 — Full Size

The flagship, now refined.

  • Caliber: 9x19mm
  • Magazine Capacity: 17 rounds
  • Overall Length: 7.95 in
  • Barrel Length: 4.49 in
  • Height (with mag): 5.47 in
  • Width: 1.35 in
  • Weight (unloaded): 21.16 oz
  • Weight (loaded): 31.39 oz
  • Trigger Pull: 5.8 lbf
  • Sight Radius: 6.65 in (polymer sights)
  • Backstrap options: Small, Medium, Large
The G17 is the right call if you’re doing home defense, duty carry, range work, or just want the most capable 9mm in Glock’s lineup. The longer barrel and 17-round capacity give you a real edge, and the Gen 6 trigger refinements make an already-reliable gun shoot even better.
Glock 19 Gen 6 — Compact

The world’s most popular compact, updated.
  • Caliber: 9x19mm
  • Magazine Capacity: 15 rounds
  • Overall Length: 7.28 in
  • Barrel Length: 4.02 in
  • Height (with mag): 5.04 in
  • Width: 1.35 in
  • Weight (unloaded): 20.11 oz
  • Weight (loaded): 29.10 oz
  • Trigger Pull: 5.8 lbf
  • Sight Radius: 6.18 in (polymer sights)

The G19 gives up a little barrel length and two rounds compared to the G17, but gains everything that matters for everyday carry. It’s still the do-everything Glock — comfortable at the range, practical in a holster, and manageable for new shooters. The Gen 6 updates make it more competitive than ever against the current wave of micro-compacts.

The Slimline MOS Pair: Glock 43X & Glock 48

These two aren’t Gen 6 — they live on Glock’s separate Slimline platform, purpose-built for concealed carry. Both are currently the most updated versions available in 2026, and both are in stock at Dixie Pawn in MOS configuration.

MOS on the Slimline means a factory-milled slide cut for micro red dots (Shield RMSc / Holosun K footprint) plus a slim accessory rail that fits compact weapon lights like the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub. This is the configuration most serious carry shooters are building toward — optic, light, proven platform.
Glock 43X MOS
  • Caliber: 9x19mm
  • Capacity: 15+1
  • Overall Length: 6.50 in
  • Barrel Length: 3.41 in
  • Width: 1.10 in
  • Weight (unloaded): ~18.7 oz
  • Optics Cut: Shield RMSc / Holosun K footprint
  • Rail: Glock Slim Mounting Rail

The 43X MOS is the thinnest carry Glock you can run with an optic and a light. The MOS slide accepts Shield RMSc footprint optics directly, while newer Slimline MOS-K slides accept Holosun K and RMSc footprints without adapter plates  — meaning you can mount popular micro dots like the Holosun 507K or EPS Carry without a lot of fuss. If you’re carrying in South Florida heat where printing is a real concern, the 43X MOS’s 1.10-inch width is hard to beat.
Glock 48 MOS 2026
  • Caliber: 9x19mm
  • Capacity: 15+1
  • Overall Length: 7.28 in
  • Barrel Length: 4.17 in
  • Width: 1.10 in
  • Weight (unloaded): ~18.3 oz
  • Optics Cut: Shield RMSc footprint
  • Rail: Glock Slim Mounting Rail

The G48 MOS is essentially a 43X with a longer slide — same slim width, but a longer barrel and better sight radius. The longer slide pushes the front sight further from the eye for slightly better practical accuracy than the 43X. If you want maximum accuracy in a slim carry package and don’t mind the extra half-inch in overall length, the 48 MOS is the one. The slide features an nDLC finish for improved durability and corrosion resistance — which matters if you’re carrying in South Florida humidity year-round.

43X vs. 48 — Which Slimline Is Right for You?

Both are 9mm, both are 1.10 inches wide, and both are MOS-ready from the factory. But here’s the headline for 2026: Glock officially announced at the NRA Annual Meetings in April that the G43X and G48 will now ship standard with factory 15-round magazines. That’s not an aftermarket workaround anymore — that’s Glock themselves delivering 15+1 capacity in a slim single-stack frame, straight out of the box. The new SLIMLINE magazine uses a metal double-stack design with a radius in the magazine catch recess, so it works with your existing standard magazine catch. No modifications, no compatibility headaches. The conceal-carry math just changed significantly on these two guns.

The 43X MOS is still the shorter, more concealable option for everyday carry in South Florida heat. The 48 MOS gives you a longer barrel and a better sight radius in the same slim package. But now both ship with capacity that matches or beats most of the competition — factory, warranted, from Glock. Come in and handle both. The 15-rounders are coming to dealers in May 2026, and we have them now!

Why Buy Local in South Florida?

We’re not a big box store. We’re a single-owner pawnshop on Dixie Highway that’s been part of the Hollywood community for years. When you buy from Dixie Pawn, you’re talking directly to someone who knows guns — not a commission-chasing counter rep. We also do trade-ins, layaway, and transfers, so if you’ve been sitting on something you want to move toward one of these new Glocks, come talk to us.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

Dixie Pawn isn’t just Hollywood’s source for the latest Glocks — we’re also one of South Florida’s most trusted spots to buy, sell, and pawn gold. Here’s what people ask us most.

1. Do I have to own the gold to pawn it?

Yes — and this is non-negotiable. By Florida law, you must be the legal owner of anything you bring in to pawn or sell. You’ll need a valid government-issued photo ID, and every transaction gets reported to local law enforcement as required under Chapter 538 of Florida Statutes. If there’s any question about ownership, we can’t accept the item. It protects you, it protects us, and it keeps the shop clean.

2. How do you figure out what my gold is worth?

Three things: karat, weight, and the current spot price of gold. We test and weigh everything in front of you — no back-room mystery. A 24k piece is pure gold; 14k and 10k contain less gold by weight and get valued accordingly. You’ll know exactly what you’re being offered and why before you agree to anything.

3. Can I sell outright or do I have to take a loan?

Your call. You can pawn — meaning you take a cash loan against the gold and have the option to buy it back — or sell it outright if you just want the cash with no strings. We’ll lay out both options so you can decide what works for your situation.

4. What kinds of gold do you accept?

Jewelry, coins, bullion, and scrap. Broken chains, single earrings, old rings you’ll never wear again — all of it has real melt value and we buy it regularly. If you’re on the fence about whether it’s worth bringing in, it probably is.

5. Is pawning at a pawnshop actually safe?

Yes — and licensed Florida pawnshops are more regulated than most people realize. Detailed record-keeping, ID verification, and law enforcement reporting are required on every single transaction. Your item stays secured on our premises for the life of the loan. Pay it back, get it back. Simple.
